The perspective that you get from standing on top of the board could be compared to walking on water. On this tour you will paddle from Uvita Beach to Uvita Point (aka the Whale Tail) where you will then snorkel in the calm waters with the likelihood of seeing colorful fishes frolicking between and around the rock and coral that make-up the end of the Whale Tail. Corcovado is Costa Rica’s best known national park and for a good reason: this park, while very small comparatively, is home to an astounding 3% of the biodiversity on this side of the planet. Corcovado National Park is still relatively difficult to get to, but Bahia Ballena is a great jumping place as it only takes roughly 75 minutes by boat to get to this infamous part of the Osa Peninsula. We are so happy to be a part of such a special community and so we are always eager to share what we know and love about Bahia Ballena with others. There are several ways that we like to spread the community love. First, we have a community walking tour in which you will stroll around to the different places in the town with our “community expert” and hear about the town’s history, (note: there is often a questionnaire with a prize at the end)! Next, you can participate in the scavenger hunt in which you practice your Spanish skills by going around and getting the necessary information to answer the questions! The scavenger hunt is a very fun activity for a family or larger group.
